Abandoned Fantasyland
Fantasyland was a children’s play zone with kiddie games and rides, that closed its doors in 2000. My son and I spotted evidence of a break-in as we drove by, and we stopped to investigate…

An ad for Toadbrew, the official drink of the Big Crunch Underworld Blood Bowl team, Wyrmwood. Toadbrew is basically absinthe with an infusion of Warpstone and several other ingredients. The song "Toxic" is sung by Britney Spears (C) 2003 Zomba Recording LLC. I neither have nor claim any rights to this song. None of the artwork contained in this presentation is my own. Blood Bowl Pub

What happens between games when the members of various Blood Bowl teams and their hangers-on gather together at the local pub? Wonder no more! Enjoy an entire evening of revelry squashed into ten minutes of dialogue, music, and even a quick fight or two. Maybe you'll spy one of YOUR players in the mix! None of the audio or artwork in this slideshow is mine. It all comes from sources too varied ...
FireworkSnowman

A snowman whose head we hollowed out and put a Showtime fountain firework in (sorry I can't remember the exact one)! We had decent snowfall the previous night but temperatures rose during the day; the ground was wet with melted snow but our snowman endured long enough for us to light up his head!
Fox in Backyard
Переглядів 23212 років тому
This (silver?) fox has been active in our neighborhood the past few days. I've seen it trotting across lawns and bringing dead birds and rodents into the nearby woods. Yes I'm wary of rabies but I also know this is the time of year when kits are maturing and foxes are sometimes more active at odd times because of the greater food demands of their young. For now I'm keeping an eye out and making...
Ghost of Christmas Present's darker side
Переглядів 300 тис.12 років тому
These clips are from one of the best versions of "A Christmas Carol" ever produced, starring George C. Scott as Scrooge. I really like this film's portrayal of the Ghost of Christmas Present; it retains the usual joviality but also doesn't shy away from the spirit's less obvious, edgier side. He seems to take a certain glee in rebuking Scrooge with his own words, challenges his sense of self-wo...

Pork N Pumpkin
Переглядів 25014 років тому
This semi-feral pig got into my uncle's yard and was knocking his pumpkins around with his head. These were HEAVY pumpkins and I couldn't believe how strong the pig was to be tossing them around with his head like that. I took out my camera to film it and of course it decided to do more than fling the pumpkins... Beautiful Halloween colors in this film though.
Are there no work houses? Are there no prisons? His words pierce us all.
Say what you will... I think the 2009 version of the Ghost of Christmas Present has an even darker side! His Ignorance and Want age up like Sim kids!
The actor portraying the ghost of Christmas present really brought his 'A' game.....a masterclass in acting!
So this is you. Yeah you should sit down.
You know who could instantly make everything right? JESUS. Walk right up to that spirit and say "Every knee shall bow before JESUS". Hunger, want, every human need would instantly and immediately be met if we all just fell to our knees and said "JESUS IS LORD!!" and meant it.
So when people die in hospitals. The answer is to pray before they do?
So handsome

The ghost of Christmas present is a complete savage 😂😂😂
So in other words, what the Ghost is say, is that you maybe a big shot on Earth, but in Heaven you’re a nobody because ‘Character’ is more important than ‘Wealth’
By far my favorite Christmas movie! George C. Scott did an incredible job! 🎉
The animated one showed it better
The part with the two starving children genuinely terrified me as a kid
This is my favorite version of this story ever. Superb performances from everyone. And especially David Warner as Bob Cratchit. For an actor who usually portrayed villains, he is so warm and genuine here it's truly remarkable.
The Ghost of Christmas Present = Dickens's Equalizer... 🎄
How bitter it is to taste ones' own stinging words.
This is so scary
GCP isn't having any Scrooge's bullsh!t. Lol.
The Equalizer Was The Ghost Of Christmas Past, It Took Me A While To See That.
Based
We are not seeing this peak of comedy in BL2
So many adaptations tend to really play up the ghots's jovial nature, since he embodies the spirit of the season. They tend to forget that, because Acrooge rejects the spirit of the season, this ghost is his harshest critic. And Woidward plays those moments with such ferocity
The best representation of Christmas Present. He straight up has no time for Scrooge's shit lol.
If you did 1:41 today there would be a smash cut to the Ghost of Christmas Present being put in handcuffs and lowered into the back of a police car.
Love the Victorian setting. That house makes you want to join them for a Xmas meal and love all around.
I've been watching this movie on Christmas eve with my mother since I was a little kid. Loved the movie, even the three or four scary parts (Marley, the Scrooge left with the homeless part and Ghost of Christmas future appearing, etc). And every year, that part where he reveals the two kids under his robes still gives me a vaguely dreadful feeling. Every other rendition of The Christmas Carol pales in comparison, this one is just too good.
the way the ghost smiles and the music changes when he says "are there no prisons" is cinematic gold
I see the ghosts as the trinity, the ghost of christmas past is the Holy Spirit the ghost of christmas Future is the Father for we never see His face and this ghost of christmas present, is The Son Jesus Christ, which means the harsh words are for scrooges salvation better it be said here then on his Judgement Day and after that, the eternal fiery judgement
Hmmm. Doesn't quite fit, but interesting thought. Oddly enough I see ghost of christmas future more like the holy spirit, but the representations of the trinity are far different than these Ghosts. The 1st is supposed to represent memory, and hard to assign gender or age to. The 2nd is a representative of Father Christmas who is not always jolly and visibly ages while he is with Scrooge (per the book), while the 3rd is supposed to be the reaper, but ironically though visibly the scariest, may be the most kind-hearted of them all, because despite looking like death, it is the only spirit that listened to scrooge's requests and visibly trembles at showing him his grave. It doesn't want him to be in that grave, very much unlike other representations of the reaper, which usually swing from outright malicious to apathetic about the work it needs to do.
The jolly santa-type man turning scary was almost more alarming than the ghost of Christmas future
I blame scrooges father for much of how scrooge was. The father blamed him for the mothers death and scrooge blamed his nephew later for the same thing. I believe hell had a special place for scrooges father and his inability to love his son. That aside this is my favorite version. Bill murry in scrooged is my 2nd fave!
People always tend to miss in this scene that even as scrooge is there us still humanity inside him
Thank you for posting this ❤❤❤
The Muppet Christmas Carol version of the Ghost of Christmas Present was way happier.
The Ghost of Christmas Present really resonates with me because my that's the way my dad always looked. I made the similarity when I was little, I was four years old and I remember quite vividly when the ghost of Christmas present came on the screen I cried out in excitement, "Daddy!" My dad had been working triple shifts at the time and I missed him. He's been dead now for nine years, and Christmas is still hard for me when I see the Coke A Cola Santas out, my dad looks just like them in the face.
“I see you’ve got the yen again for cinnamon!” *Fun fact:* _“Yenning”_ is an old-timey word that means “craving” or longing for due to a great love for - or even a physical or psychological addiction to - some substance. Opium, Morphine and Heroin addicts of old (from the 1800s through to the Beat Generation, who were folks born in the nineteen teens and twenties hitting later adulthood in the 1950s like Bill Burroughs and Jack Kerouac) would often say they were “yenning” for a hit rather than “jonesing” or “fiending” or “craving” for a dose of that sweet, sweet (actually very bitter) opium latex that oozed from slashes cut into the underripe spherical seed pods of _Papaver Somniferum_ AKA the Asian Opium Poppy.
Woodward was brilliant. He had a more malicious side than most adaptations - he seemed to take pleasure in Scrooge's misfortune on being left alone when it was time for him to go.... Too many actors have played the part as a Father Christmas clone.
I never heard this line in any other version so I am thinking it is well improvised. The line when Scrooge asks about Ignorance and Want, the spirit says, "They are your children." Immediately Scrooge looks like saying 'dafuq you talking about?' But I think it is a line that perfects the character because even though it is true in a sense, the spirit needed to give Scrooge a wake up call to heed his message, and that line makes sure Scrooge pays attention before his time is up.
1:29, goofy smile just after giving a dramatic speech.
"Mays Gilliam he's for cancer"
I love how he turns how words back on him. “Are there no work houses, are there no prisons?”
the best Christmas Carol film, the performances and the drama.. perfect
I miss when Republicans weren't so fucking insane that this was a parody, and not an accurate representation.
Maybe if democrats werent murderous child pornographers, we’d have a more normal politics

I like how The Ghost of Christmas Present lecture Scrooge by saying In The Future You Should Hold Your Toung Until You Know What The Cirles Population Is And Where It Is.
I could agree with him on several compatible options. Such as the two men responsible for making the Hollywood Monster, and unleashing it on the world, for within the eyes of true DC Heroes Fans, those five frauds are more worthless and unfit to exist or even be worthy of such abilities, or even be called heroes than BILLIONS of those like the investors who led Saturday Mornings to ruin.
Look at the second shot of the twins..the girl looks down....heartbreaking...
Scott can act his butt off......dang!!!
If i could make a perfect christmas carol using any actor dead or alive and in perfect health and if it were to be more like a horror movie i know who I'd choose. Tim Curry as scrooge. (Come on he is most definately scrooge!) Edward Asner as Jacob Marley. (I just liked his performance as jacob marley in the 1997 tim curry cartoon) Gary Oldman as Bob Cratchit. (He can just sell that servant roll very well) Sylvester Stallone as Ghost of christmas past. (He coukd show scrooge the horrors of his past and be scary all around) Liam Neeson as Ghost of christmas present. (He could be jolly and turn stern when he needed to be.) Andy Serkis as Ghost of christmas yet to come. (Id let my adaptation be different by letting him talk in grim tones) Colin Firth as Nephew Fred (i liked his performance in the 2009 jim carrey film.
Warioware Gomorrah the serpent lord
Charles Dickens was the original Christian Hell House guy
In the book, the spirit says this: Man... if you be a man in your heart, forbear that wicked cant until you've discovered what the surplus really is and where it is. Will you decide what men shall live, what men shall die? It may be that in the sight of Heaven, you are more worthless and less fit to live than millions like this poor man's child. O God, to hear the insect on the leaf pronouncing there is too much life among his hungry brothers in the dust!"
In Scrooged not only than the verbal wig-splitting we see happened he physically got his wig split
